Description
|
Riddled with facts and fiction, a sunken Khmer City, mythical "Naga" (Dragon), Lake Chini remains an attraction for the nature lover with a spirit of adventure. Located south-west of Kuantan in the wilds and surrounded by mountains, Lake Chini is accessible by an out-board motorboat ride under the canopy of some very old and interesting tropical trees lining the narrow winding river. One of the highlights includes a visit to an "Orang Asli" (aborigines) settlement to witness their way of life. The natives will enlighten you about their way of hunting with the use of a blow-pipe. An added bonus, when in season, is the startling beauty of pink lotus in full bloom.
