Tioman is a watersports haven: scuba-diving, deep-sea fishing, snorkelling, boating, waterskiing and wind-surfing. But at the Marine Park next to Kampung Tekek, you can have the thrill of swimming among the fishes as you feed them. The swirl of fins and colourful shimmering bodies around you is definitely an unforgettable experience.

Beaches
Air Bintang - usually referred to as ABC, Air Batang is a popular beach just over the headland to the north of Kampung Tekek. Along with Salang, it's the main travellers' centre, with a lazy string of chalet operations connected by a concrete path that runs the length of the beach. The northern end of the beach is rocky and poor for swimming; the southern end, near Nazri's, has the best white-sand beach.

Salang - in terms of swimming and easy access to a variety of restaurants and activities, Salang is probably Tioman's best place to be based. It is also popular with divers. Two of Tioman's better dive centres are here as well.

Juara - the only place to stay on the east coast of the island. Juara is less developed and quieter than most of the other beaches on the west coast. The beach is excellent. This is a place for serious relaxation, since there is little to do except swim and laze away the day under the coconut trees.

Villages
ABC was originally the name of a little guesthouse. When the village grew up around, the name extended to the all place, because ABC means "Air Batang Campung". The place is now mostly crowded by backpackers, because of the cheap prices and that Bob Marley remains to be the only singer in the world, acccording to village people ....

Penuba is one of the very few places which seems to be concerned about nature preservation. The water is clear and there is good coral which makes for some excellent diving.
