In the hope of turning Malaysia into a leading exporter of fresh flowers, farmers cultivate an abundance. Visitors will certainly be dazzled with the lush profusion of much sought after blooms like roses, chrysanthemums, carnations, dahlias, geraniums, carnations, fuchsias, gladioli and 'everlasting flowers'.
Nature lovers will find a walk on the jungle paths winding alongside cool mountain streams, where streaks of sunlight occasionally filter through the canopy of lush foliage a breathtaking panoramic view not to miss. Enjoy a cool stimulating dip in one of the many jungle pools under the cascading waterfalls. The most popular ones in Cameron Highlands are the Robinson Falls and the Parit Falls. These falls area ideal for swimming and make a lovely spot for a leisurely picnic.
The rugged climb to the popular peaks at Cameron Highlands such as Gunung Brinchang, Gunung Beremban and Gunung Jasar is well worth the effort. On clear days, such efforts are rewarded by breathtaking panaromic views of surrounding towns with rows of vegetable plots and tea on hill slopes or even as far as the Straits of Melaka.
Despite seventy years of tourism, the Cameron Highlands today can still be recognized in William Cameron's early, glowing descriptions which talked of the plateau's gentle slopes surrounded by dramatic peaks. The cool, frost free climate on the highlands offers an attractive retreat for city dwellers who want to retreat temporarily from the noise and pollution in the city.
