Strawberry Park :
Visit the strawberry park offers the opportunity to purchase freshly picked strawberries with thick delicious fresh cream at affordable prices.
Butterfly Farm:
The Butterfly Farm located 5 km north of Brinchang, is open daily from 8am - 6pm, scores of butterflies fly free among the flowers, with the sound of running water from an artificial pond in the background.
Robertson Rose Garden:
2km to the northwest, on the way to the Palas Tea Estate, you'll find the Robertson Rose Garden which opens daily from 10am - 6pm. Have the free visit here which is rewarded by superb views of the sculpted sweep of the surrounding hills. Rose bushes aside, the shop here sells honey and cordials, as well as attractive dried flowers and arrangements.
Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm:
The Ee Feng Gu Farm is beautifully landscaped with flowering plants and various fruit trees. About 5km from Brinchang Town, The Ee Feng Gu Farm covers an area 3.5 hectares. Bees are found in their natural habitat here.
Mountain Climbing:
A walk up to any of the popular peaks at Cameron Highlands is richly rewarding if only for the view from the summit. There are several mountains here at Cameron Highlands.
Nature Hikes:
The Cameron Highlands features a number of walks, varying in difficulty according to your level of fitness and stamina. The trails here take in some of the most spectacular scenery in Malaysia, encompassing textured greenery and misty mountain peaks. Nature lovers will find irresistible the unspoilt natural beauty of Cameron Highlands as you weave your way off the beaten track to wonder through a variety of attractive flora and fauna. At all times of the year it is prolific and most common sightings are of ferns, pitcher plants and orchids.
Walking In The Cameron Highlands :
The official trails detailed below are varied enough for most tastes and energies. The timing given are estimates for one-way walks by people with an average level of fitness. On long trips, please take warm clothing, water, a torch and a cigarette lighter or matches to facilitate basic survival should you get lost.
Nature Rain Forest :
Walk 1 (1 Hour)
Not marked on any of the maps, this is a short but tough walk up a rarely used and unmaintained track by the army quarters north of Brinchang.
Walk 2 ( 1 hour 30 minutes)
Begin just before the Sam Poh Temple below Brinchang. The route undulates severely for first part and eventually merges with Walk 3.
Gua Charah
"Gua" means cave in Malay. The Charah caves are situated about 25 km north west at Panching on the way to Sungai Lembing. Carved by nature out of limestone formations millions of years ago, they also house a statue of the reclining Buddha.
Golfing:
Awana Golf and Country Resort Perched 3,100 feet above sea level on Gunung Ulu Kali, the Awana Golf and Country Club offers golfers the exhilarating experience of golfing among the clouds. The 18-hole international class layout was designed by Ronald Fream and features bunkers, ponds and streams spreading out over undulating terrain. The air is crisp and the green jungle-clad surrounding hills impose a tranquil silence over the surroundings. The clubhouse, perched on a ridge, commands a sweeping view of the course and valleys, below. A putting green and a 3-tiered driving range provide ample opportunity for practice swings. Other facilities include squash and tennis courts, a games room, a heated outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. Condominiums are also available. Nearby is the horse ranch which provides facilities for horseback riding.
Situated just about 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur via the Karak Highway, the Awana Golf and Country Club is an ideal haven for those wishing to take a break from the pressures of city life.
TAMAN NEGARA
Exhilarating experience - Covering 4,343 sq km of virgin jungle, the park offers an undisturbed diversity of habitats and plant communities. Spot the Fishing Eagle or Gibbons as you travel along the meandering highways of this rich tropical rainforest. Get drenched as you negotiate seven sets of rapids. Take in panoramic view of a time honoured civilisaton.
Explore a new frontier - Let your spirit of adventure take you to a new heights: the canopy, which is the top layer of vegetation in a forest. Feast your eyes on the myriad of plant and animal species that make their home here,including the birds. All you have to do is venture onto the Park's canopy walkway, installed at elevations above 25 metres and stretching over 400 metres - the world's longest. Truly a highlight not to be missed.
The angler's challenge - It is estimate there are as many as 300 species of fish in the Malaysian rivers. And as you weave through the jungle's meandering rivers, you'll see Kingfishers, Hornbills, Otters, Monitor Lizards and more.
Take a walk on the wild side
Take a journey back into time through dense tropical forest. It is estimated more than 100 species of plant life are found in every single acre of the jungle. For the more adventurous, climb up Guning Than, the highest peak in Peninsular Malaysia. Its magnificent vistas haven't changed since the Ice Ages.
