Description

Pangkor Laut Resort is a privately owned island located 3 miles off the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the Straits of Malacca.

Some villas and all Villa Suites are built on stilts just off shore from two adjoining bays, and on strips of land between the shoreline and the forested hills above each bay. Royal Bay includes the boat jetty, the lobby, tennis courts, the gym, a shop and three restaurants. Coral Bay houses the shop, and one restaurant. The facilities of both bays are available to all guests and include restaurants, swimming pools and tropical gardens.

All structural designs are based on traditional Malay architecture. Each villa and suite features a private balcony. The interior of each is outfitted with the modern necessities of air-conditioning, a CD player, an electronic safe hair-dryer, coffee and tea making facilities, a fridge, and of course an IDD telephone.

Except for Sea Villas and Suites which are bungalows, Royal Bay accommodations are stylish multi-unit structures, with two or four units to a building. Coral Bay Water Villas, Forest Villas and Family Villas are single unit bungalow structures built with rustic exteriors on stilts over the water, nestled within the tropical forest or lush gardens.

Royal Bay Sea Villa and Coral Bay Water Villas are built on stills over the emerald sea, and linked to shore by a wooden walkway, these bungalows are single guest room units with private balconies and feature large dressing and vanity areas.

Royal Bay Sea Villas are outfitted with oversized soak tubs. Coral Bay Water Villas have bathtubs.

Royal Bay Beach Villas and Coral Bay Family Villas are built on shore, only a few steps away from the beach. Royal Bay Beach Villas are stylish units with large dressing and vanity areas featuring a oversized outdoor bath. The Coral
Bay Family Villas are bungalows with bedrooms and one bathroom with shower only.

Royal Bay Garden Villas are built amid lush tropical gardens, each structure contains just four guest room villas each with large dressing and vanity areas and oversized soaking baths.

Royal Bay Hill Villas are perched dramatically on the hillside at the edge of the forest. These villas offer the same characteristics as the Royal Bay Garden Villas and overlook the lowlands at the equivalent of five stories below. Served by a lift, these villas offer greater privacy.

Coral Bay Forest Villas bungalow units nestled on the hillside above Coral Bay within the tropical jungle. Alive with bird song and the buzz of cicadas during the day; the forest is restfully silent at night. These bungalows offer the greatest privacy.

Royal Bay Sea Villa Suites of which are only 2 are available, are built on stilts over the sea, furnished with luxurious appointments and feature panoramic views of the sea.

Pangkor Luat Resort is also a great venue for business meetings or incentive trips. Our facilities include a conference hall which accommodates 150 persons or may be divided into 3 separate function rooms.

Out door facilities include 3 tennis courts, 3 swimming pools, whirlpool spa, and jungle trekking. Water activities include guided snorkeling and fishing excursions with picnics, scuba diving outings and diving excursions to outlying islands, wind surfing, catamaran sailing, canoeing, and water skiing. Charter of a luxury yacht for day is also available.

Indoor recreational facilities feature an air-conditioned gym equipped with modern equipment, a multilingual reading library and squash court. A lounge with satellite TV, is also available 24 hours a day.
